Working in cafes can be challenging especially the noise and the hardship of going to the restroom while lugging your office junk.

This past week, I toured The Hive in Hong Kong, a new co work space that truly rocks. As a big interior design fan, I appreciate minimal design that is simply inviting for the eyes. The Hive co work space in Hong Kong delivers just that and more.

Surely, the bottomless coffee and welcoming staff (headed by Elaine Tsung) adds to the experience.

The Hive was started by veteran entrepreneur Constant Tedder and he passion for details and this is clearly noted. The Hive is charming co work space in Hong Kong that features custom made wooden desk along with a towering view of Hong Kong since it is located on the 21st and 19th floor.

After a few hours of turbo charged concentrated work, the terrace on the 21st floor allows me to simply remind myself the goodness of living in urban Hong Kong.

The truth is, we need to pray for strength.

If we desire an easy life, we would not take any risks. And if we don’t take any risk, we can never conquer our fears or achiever our dreams.

I would even stress that an easy life is dangerous.
An easy life denies us from having purpose and we simply will not build up character.

But individuals that have been through into the fire realize that this gives birth to character.
Character such as persistence can carry us very far.

When I was a kid, I had a very low self esteem. I lacked confidence and just did not see that I had anything going for me.

But in high school, I turned things around.

I joined the speech and debate team at school. I was so nervous to perform my first speech but after countless speeches, I started to notice my confidence increase.

I was not longer nervous but instead at ease.

I realized that having self esteem and confidence can truly make someone so happy.

I like Honda automobiles.
They are reliable and priced affordably.

Now they are trying to innovate with the Uni-Cub.

I learned recently from the many failures I have had in business.

They key is to fill a demand and not create one.

Like the Segway, this will not take off. People with larger asses can not use this product. Also, people will just steal this vehicle.

In places such as Singapore, Korea, and Japan where the streets are safe and you don’t have thugs, perhaps we will see a few of these futuristic pods.

The problem this vehicle is trying to solve, I still wonder.

Are we too tired from walking?

Often times, we limit ourselves.
We kill our dreams before putting our feet in the water.

The purpose of life is to take risks and simple grow personally.
This is done through experiencing something.

Try something new.
Embrace being different.

Be the Purple Cow.
Be the Purple guy that sings Chinese Opera.

Defy odds. Break rules, not the law.

Don’t be afraid to not fit into a certain package or mold.

Often times, the world is awaiting someone just like you.

While others are staring at the tight rope, he jumps on!

He is fearless.
He is foolish.

But he wins!
He got to experience the tight rope.

So many of us will be spectators in life.
We hear this negative inner voice that discourages us.

“We are not good enough!”
“If only I was … (fill in the blank)”

The reality is that

THOSE WHO DARE, WINS!

Dare to meet someone on the street.
Dare to start a business.

Life to me is like a movie.
We never know when our last scene will take place.

So make every minute count.

Life is funny. Constantly, I am seeking for my purpose in life. When I found my purpose – to inspire and motivate people – I was happy.

But our mind is funny. We often lose sight, perhaps get distracted from focusing on things that get us closer to our goals.

My goal is to publish a self help book and make it a best seller.
Simple, done.

Yet … not so fast.

Like a train I often fall off the tracks and fall into the 3 Evils.

Fear | Doubt | Indecision

so I remind myself to refocus …

The most important things is daily affirmation.

We not only need to eat to have energy, we also need to feed our minds with affirmation (words of encouragement) daily and even perhaps several times a day.

This will keep the train on the tracks.

Keep rocking.
