Waking up at 6am, I raced to the studio for my 7am call time. I was chosen for talent work for a University of Phoenix print/TV work.
What I did.
I dressed up as a doctor + walked around a green screen.
Other times, I dressed up in casual clothes and did a few shots.
Shots included me standing on steps, looking toward the sky, envisioning the future.
Talent work is fun, and anybody can try.
Look at commercials on TV, ordinary people.
The casting agency picks you, so no stress.
I learned from Larry Kitagawa, a veteran in the business.
Do talent/print/modeling to
1} have fun! Feel the energy from the camera
2} network. I have met entrepreneurs + just creative people
Don’t do this to
1} think that you’re going to be a super model, the numbers are against you
2} think that this will pay your bills, it simply a fun experience. Depending on the size of the job, the rate is calculated. I did an Apple commercial for China and it paid well while smaller gigs are just petty change.
