Daniel Pink: A Whole New Mind

Waking up on a Saturday morning, I was refreshed. I had confirmed more about my calling in life-to be remarkable

remarkable = being someone worth talking about

Almost literally, I can not put down A Whole New Mind by Daniel Pink. He concludes that gone are the days of “left-brain” dominance. Lawyers, accountant, and software engineers.

If you’re one of the above, don’t fret. Instead, Pink is encouraging us to see the future. His point is that while some job duties and skills can be outsourced, our biggest asset, our creativity must be tapped.

All play major roles. Take design. Look at the multi million dollar water industry. Every water company is selling the same commodity, water. But, Fiji water takes an extra step and tells a story perhaps communicating that water from a distant natural source.
