“I don’t eat beef!”
“I’m a vegetarian!”
“Let do Asian tonight!”

Like a popular Chinese food dish, my date can sometimes be {sweet} or {sour}. After snowboarding and burning infinite calories on the top of the mountain, I was ready for comfort food heaven. Only one hurdle came head on. My snowboarding date aka snow bunny.

Rayfil: snow bunny, what do you want for dinner?
Snow bunny: anything is fine?

{from experience, this means that “anything is not fine.” In female code, this means ask more questions dammit!!}

Tired from slashing “s” curves on powdered snow and pretending to be patient while snow bunny falls off the ski life time after time, the last thing I wanted was restaurant choice dilemma.

Take my advice.

Avoid the hunger pains. Hit the “18th Floor” at Harrah’s and transport your self to the Forrest Buffet. For only $20 on a Sunday night, the immense choices will let your date fill her own desires.

Globe trotting around the counters, many dishes had good intentions but missed the mark. The Chinese counter passed with crispy egg rolls but the BBQ ribs lacked caramelized sweetness. Vibrant colors were featured at the sushi bar such as California roll, but the lack of skill involved in making the vinegary rice halted the appetite.

Aim for sure winners which include sea-sweet cocktail shrimp and Spinach salad.

But the night belonged to the prime rib. Blushing tender meat married well with ladles of au jus. A slight dabble of horse radish gives the slices just enough kick. I was a very bad boy that night, eating five slices. Supporting roles that deserved a mention included aromatic stuffing, onion rings, and tender turkey breast.

End the night with hot apple pie.
Service was attentive and soda refills were nearly automatic from our server.

Overlooking the chilly lake and snow covered mountain, the towering view made my window side table a great dining space.
