Bento Box: Art in a Lunch Box

Most of the time, just a few dash of creativity spice can move our senses. O Bento is a Japanese site dedicated to creating art work in the lunch boxes.

While traveling in Tokyo, I saw hundreds of salary men/women wake up early in the morning and commute to work. It a nice surprise when at lunch, a note of creativity refreshes the day after a mundane work day in the cubicle.

Bento boxes are lunch boxes sectioned off. The Japanese are clever. The sections allow the cook to separate flavors and temperature from other dishes.

Excellent.

Recently, I have to applaud the Japanese for their packaging mastery.

1st base: buy cheap raw material/goods from China
2nd base: process raw materials into products
3rd base: slap “made in Japan” label and package product to WOW customers
Home run: sell the product to countries like the United States at a high premium
